Indiana (2) biography
Italian dance artist Indiana aka Giulia Del Buono started her carreer by winning Castrocaro Festival in 1976, then the Silver Gondola at the International Light Music Exhibition. The same year, she recorded her first single Io la sera. Then in 1982, she released the single Fumo that she co-wrote. Then came Senza Te in 1987.
She released the first Indiana single Una Scossa Al Cuore in 1990. Then in 1993 she released another 12" LP containing the songs MacArthur Park and Maradona.
Let Me The Music Play was out in 1994 under Discomagic Records. It was mixed by Philippe Daughler and produced by Cristiano Malgioglio. It featured raps by Aron Park. The same year, another Indiana project scored a hit with their song All I Need Is Love and Giulia Del Buono contacted her lawyer to defend her rights on the name : the other project had to choose another name.
Tears On My Face (I Can See The Rain) was released in 1995 under Blue Flower/Drohm (DROHM 024). One of the remixes (the Da Blitz remix) was done by BlissCo DJs. It was written and composed by Roby Colella, Ricky Mazzamauro, P. Pierelli. It was also a success, well played during summer 1995, and featured on many Italian dance compilations.
Together Again included remixes by Ti.Pi.Cal. It was produced by Bapsy Team (Ricky Mazzamauro and Roby Colella) and featured vocals by Ricky Mazzamauro and backing vocals by Barbara E. It was recorded at Entroterra Studio.
I Wanna Be Loved was released in 1996 under Drohm records in Italy and Orange records in Denmark. It was produced, mixed and arranged by Bapsy Team (misspelled Rapsy Team on the record), re-produced by Leee John and Dee Vaz, with additonal vocals by Leee John.
No relationship with the UK project Indiana, which released 2 singles under the label Platipus : Do You Hear Me and In My Veins in 2002, nor with the other Italian project Indiana. Nor with a third Italian dance project of the same name which released in 1992 a vinyl 12" entitled Indiana on Strength Records, sub-label of Pro.Pio Records, run by DJ Stefano Secchi.
Thanks to Francesco Racanati, DJ Marto Aida
