Rossella Graziani biography

Italian singer Rossella Graziani spent three years under the guidance of Michael Allen (pianist and arranger of the Memphis Horns) singing in the most important clubs in Italy, participating in 1993 and 1994 at the Porretta Soul Festival and Roxy Bar of Red Ronnie. She worked with producers Davide Marsilio, Luca Facchini, Theo Spagna, Annerley Gordon, Corrado Vacondio, Domenico Baldoni, Gianluca Lul and Mauro Gazzotti

In 1995 she took part as a solo singer in the Ruvido Show (Saturday in prime time on RAI 1). She sang at Zelig in Milan with Paolo Rossi's music group. She collaborated with David Hudson and Antony Bennet, singing as a soloist with the White gospel choir at the Europauditorium in Bologna.

The same year, she did backing vocals on Irene Grandi's album In Vacanza Da Una Vita. She also collaborated with the musicians Antonio Onorato, Francesco Villani, Achille Succi, Jimmi Villotti, Nicola Arigliano, and many others.

In 1996 she started working as a modern singing teacher at the School of Modern Music in Ferrara. She did backing vocals on 2 songs on Skianto's album Skiantologia Vol.1 : C'È Sempre Una Ragazza Che Mi Piace and Le Ragazze Mi Dicono Di No.

In 1997, she did backing vocals on Q-Club' single I'll Be There.

2002 : she did lead vocals on Aeon's self-title album, and sung one song on The Bluesmen's album.

2005 : she contributed to several songs on Aeroplanitaliani's album Sei Felice?.

2007 : once again, she took care of the backing vocals on one song on The Bluesmen's album Wild In The Country.

She formed the Rossella Graziani quartet with the pianist Alessandro Altarocca, double bassist Felice Del Gaudio and drummer Lele Barbieri. They performed in the most important jazz clubs and in numerous festivals, such as the Bologna jazz festival in 2009 and 2010. In 2010, at the Shanghai World Expo, the Rossella Graziani quartet represented the city of Bologna, presenting My Favourite Songs.

2017 : she sung songs for compilations Jazz For A Christmas Day and Jazz For A Winter Day.

2018 : she performed in the Africa Month Music Festival in the Liberation Concert with a line up of international artists at The Joburg Theater. Her songs Cosa Cambia and Never Let Me Go were included on compiations.

2019 : her song Never Let Me Go appeared on the compilation Jazz On The Highway Vol. 3.

2020 : she recorded song Just One Of Those Things which was included on the compilation Singing With Swing
