Aqua are back with a new single, a re-interpretation of I Am What I Am which will be the official anthem for Copenhagen Pride 2021

A few days ago, Aqua released Freaky Friday (a track from their 2000 album Aquarius) as a digital single in Denmark, along with remixes from Eiffel 65 (thanks to Denis).

According to an interview with swedish newspaper Aftonbladet, Aqua, now without Claus Norreen, could be heading to the studio when they finish their current tour in Sweden and Denmark. No plans for a new album, but new singles could be the result. (Thanks to Anders Bøgh)

Aqua released 2 new digital singles in Denmark and Norway only : Playmate To Jesus and Like A Robot. The first is intended for radios, while the second is destinated to disco and clubs. On September 14th, they started the shooting of the video of Playmate to Jesus (Thanks to Anders Bøgh and Eurodance Blog)

Aqua's new album was once again postponed, it is now planned for October 3rd. Title was revealed : Megalomania. It will contain 11 tracks.

Aqua revealed the titles of 5 new songs that will be included on their new album : Come and Get It, Viva Las Vegas (just like DJ Bobo's new album ?), No Party Patrol, Dirty Little Popsong, and F… Me Like A Robot. The new album was originally scheduled to be released on the 14th of June, it is now planned to be released the 5th of September. A new single will be out very soon, approximately for the beginning of July.

After several years of collaboration, Aqua decided to change their manager. Soren Broberg Johansen was replaced by Niklas Anker.

This week, Aqua's Back to the 80 entered the French singles sales chart at position #20.

Aqua will release Back To The 80s in France. They just published photos of a shooting on their Facebook that could make believe that they shot a video clip for their new song Spin me a Christmas, but nothing has been officially confirmed.

Aqua's album Greatest Hits peaked as #1 on the official danish album list. It has sold platinum in Denmark. Their current single Back To The 80's peaked as #1 on the official Danish track list. It has also sold platinum in Denmark. Remady P&R's single "No Superstar" has sold gold in Denmark (thanks to Anders Bøgh).

During an interview at Go' Aften in the end of August, Aqua announced that they would start working on a new album in 2010.

After a successful Danish tour, Aqua were invited to perform at German show The Dome in Köln. It will be broadcasted on RTL II in 2 weeks (see TV dates) (thanks to eurodance blog).

Aqua's new album is actually a best of entitled Greatest Hits, released in Denmark and Sweden this week. It includes digitally remastered versions of 16 old songs and three new songs: Back to the 80's, My Mamma Said, and Live Fast - Die Young (thanks to eurodance blog).

Aqua will release a new single Back To The 80's on May 25th. The single is taken from a new album comming out later this summer. The new album will have 3 new tracks and all their old hits in new updated versions (thanks to Anders Bøgh).

According to STV facility an Aqua Live DVD is planned to be released. They followed the group and had filmed the full Aqua concerts in Odense and Valby Park in Copenhagen including back stage impressions of the band (thanks to Tavi Meran).

During the summer 2008 Aqua will be the headliners of the Green Concert festival tour in Denmark. Rumours have it that the concerts could be followed by a world tour and/or Best of-album if the concerts have enough success (thanks to Anders Bøgh).

Aqua just announced a Comeback tour in Denmark for 2008. The rest of the world could follow. They do not have plans to record new material, but are considering a best of album with extra tracks from the third album which was never released (thanks to Anders Bøgh)

Lene from Aqua modelled for the ’07 summer collection for sexy underwear,

Lene (former Aqua frontlady) decided to move to Hollywood to attend an acting school and start a career of actress. She considered her Danish was not fluent enough to try a career in Denmark. She gave an exclusive interview in the magazine Costume, about her future plans.

René Dif (ex-member of Aqua) will soon release a solo CD. Aqua will have a Greatest Hits CD out in Summer 2006 (thanks to Dennis from My Aquarium)

On the 12th of November, the documentary movie Turn Back Time by Tomas Gislason premiered in Copenhagen. In the movie the four members of Aqua join each other in a house and talk about their time as Aqua, the split-up of the group and more... (thanks to Anders Bøgh).

Søren Raasted (writer/producer of Aqua) released a solo-project album under the name of Lazyboy (thanks to Anders Bogh).

We Belong To The Sea will be Aqua's next single.

Aqua released their single Bumble Bees. The quite parodic video shows 3 different videoclips scenarios, with the group mocking their image of "Barbie girl band".

Aqua's new single is called Around The World . It's their second single from the Aquarius album. The video was shot in Copenhagen's National Art Museum.
