Whyzer biography
Whyzer was formed in 2001. Yannick (born December 1st 1978) did his debuts at Top Radio, a regional radio station. Afterwards, he started DJing in clubs and experimenting with music and samples. During one of his DJ nights, Yannick (whose name's "Y" ultimately resulted in "Why"zer) met Caroline (born July 26th 1979 in Lint) at the disco BBC in Sint-Niklaas. They clicked immediately and, together with Koen de Beir (also known from Good Shape and many other production projects like Cassandra, Petra, Now!, etc.), they dived into the studio. Love Is Calling was born, their first single, and they gradually started making a name for themselves. It was released under Label Vie. It included a Dj Thorne Club mix made by Ramses de Craene known from Freeze & Dj Looney Tune. For stage appearances, the team was completed by 2 dancers, Sofie and Carolien.
The follow-up Teach Me How slowly became a true floor-filler and reached audiences in Germany, Spain, and Poland. The single included a remix by Axel Brian known from Kickback. Unfortunately, the record company then faced difficulties, and Teach Me How fell victim to it.
In 2002, they started working with a new record company, and the third single Colour the Night was released. The Creative Juice Remix were crafted by by Peter Bellaert (known from Minimalistix). It was a club success, but didn't hit the charts since radio stations changed direction and dance music was no longer welcomed warmly. The 4th single Love Is a Mystery was not released commercially either, as there was no place for this kind of music at the time, and online music stores and platforms were not yet available.
2024 : they re-released their singles week after week on all digital platforms
