Timeshift biography

Timeshift is the name of a Belgian project that features a solo male vocalist called Indy Lee Rogers (real name : Patrick De Brouwer). According to the legend, he used to be a techno producer when he discovered he had a voice. He was actually a country singer and Elvis Presley imitator.

Single Don't You Feel The Beat (a cover of a French song initially released in the 80s by Philippe Cataldo, written by Jean Schulteiss, entitled Les Divas Du Dancing) was recorded in Magic Studio in Antwerp. With its live remixes, it was released under the ZYX label, DWA in Italy, Blanco y Negro in Spain, and appeared on several European dance compilations. At first, the singer was not really enthusiastic about it, but the success finally made him change his mind. The 2 following singles were Crazy 4 U and Dancing In The Sun, 2 very good eurodance tracks. The single Queen Of Clubs was deceiving. In 1995 too, Timeshift contributed to the welfare project De KerstSterren (releasing the single Vreugde In Je Hart).

Then, I wanna B was recorded in March 1996, it was the last single to be released. It featured a new singer called Brian Somerset. Brian worked for Club Med from 1990 till 1996. Even if he did not like his voice, everyone including professional singers encouraged him to continue singing and go professional. While training at a karaoke bar in Belgium, he was spotted by Peter Neefs.

The group seperated 6 months after release of this song. One of the dancers of the project, Edwige Veermeer, became later the singer of the project The Oh, and finally went solo as Edvika. After coming to Switzerland, Brian played the main role in 3 theatre pieces, been figurant in 6 different opera's at the Opera de Lausanne. Nowadays he works as a key account Manager.
