Sonic Surfers biography

Sonic Surfers started as studio project in 1991 with the single Beat Of Zen. Dorian Broekhuyse and Martin Trans (aka Brook & Trans) were involved from the 3rd single. Several vocalists such as Vivian Black and Jocelyn Brown took part to this project. Vivian started her carreer back in 1990, doing backing vocals for projects such as Tony Scott, Brook's N Dance or Juan Wells. She was chosen after an audition. The rapper of the group was called Pryhme. He used to be the rapper of the group King Bee.

The 2 first singles were released back in 1991. Beat Of Zen was composed by Marcel Bakker & G.M. Moseley I, produced by ZeO and re-mixed by Marcello. It was a club hit. Then Having A Great Time was Norry G "The Key". The following singles were produced by Dorian Broekhuyse and Martin Trans (aka Brook & Trance).

Take Me Up featured the voice of Jocelyn Brown. It contained a Midnight Mix, and Extended version and a DJ Mix.

The single Reach Out was actually a double-A side CD, with 4 mixes of Reach Out and 5 mixes of Tell Me. Their album Making Waves, which took 2 months of intensive work to be recorded, was released. It was renamed Don't Give It Up in Japan.

In 1995, Pryhme did raps for eurodance project E-motion and in 1996 he started a solo-carrer. He released a R&B single entitled U Gotta Get Down.

1999 : Vivian Black started a solo carreer with the single Feel So Good. Afterwards, she did musicals and theatre shows.Nowadays, she helps her children with their own singing carreer.

2012 : The Shrink Reloaded released a 2012 version of their cover of Beat Of Zen, featuring vocals by Ingrid Simons. It inlcuded 2 remixes by Experience Of Music.
