Sol Azul biography

Project Sol Azul was a brief partnership between vocalist Sol Aravena and Juan Pablo Quezada, a musician mainly linked to new-age music and ethnic fusion through Prabha project. For both, the duo was a surprisingly successful project, though not entirely representative of their musical tastes.

It was behind the main songs of youth TV series Adrenaline, directed by Ricardo Vicuña, broadcasted in 1996 in Chile on Channel 13. Adrenalina told the story of a very special discotheque and high school students, great love stories, telling about the reality of adolescents in Chile and problems with their parents in the early 90's. Main theme songs were Atrévete a Amar (which was a huge radio hit, the most programmed in 1996 in Chile) and Siente tu vida. Their only album Historia Leyenda was released under Warner Music in 1996.

Atrévete A Amar was one of the most successful milestones in Sol Aravena's musical career, who later took part to the project Muza.

No relationship with Brazilian band Solazul.
