10/12/2021 : Today sees the release of Let Love, the brand new single from Simone Jay and DJ Massimo Pepe

26/04/2018 : Simone Jay is back with a new single entitled Never Givin' Up (Finale).

01/04/2013 : Simone Jay and Max Marani released a remix of Wanna Be Like A Man, including versions made by Simon from Deep Divas.

12/10/2012 : Max Marani recorded a new, updated version of Simone Jay's hit Wanna B Like A Man. Single is planned for release in October under Bang records.

Simone Jay biography

Her real name is Simone Jackson Clark. Born in Port Chester, America, she moved to Italy in 1993.

Her debut single Love is the Key in 1993 was produced by Roberto Zanetti on the DWA label. She also contributed to vocals on Ice MC's hit Take Away The Colour. Between 1994 and 1995, Simone Jay was vocalist for Netzwerk on the singles Passion and Memories.

She went back to her solo carreer in 1997 and signed under VCI Recordings. She released the single Midnight (that she produced herself with the help of Taleesa). Then came Wanna Be Like A Man, produced by Taleesa. Simone dedicated it to her family and especially Richard Clark Jr., Shantie and Richard Clark III. The single reached number one on the Italian charts on the 21st June.

She is also officially credited on Paul Mastered - Come With Me and on Never Mind - Movin' On, but the singer's voice does not sound like hers...

The follow-up single was called Luv Thang. It was written by Taleesa, R. Baeli and Simone herself, the executive producer was Michael Corkran. 2 of the 3 versions were mixed by Mario Fargetta.

In 1998 she recorded Ready Or Not with DJ Dado.

In October 1999 she released her solo single Paradise, which was remixed by Eiffel 65. The same year, she recorded Good Times, produced by DJ Dado.

Simone released the following single Give Me Love on the Planet Records label. Then she recorded the single Mum & Daddy, whose release was constantly postponed.

In 2001 Simone released Fallin In Love as Groove Station presentes Simone Jay.

Mum & Daddy was finally released as vinyl in 2003 under EMI.

2008 : Simone Jay released an album this summer under the name SiJAY. Produced by Marco Carmassi, it was entitled The Way

She nowadays lives in San Diego.
