Scanners biography
Label: Bit Music. This euro project featured a female vocalist, Marian Dacal, and a frontlady for playback performances and pictures, Lydia, together with brothers Xasqui and Toni Ten.
The vinyl of Gun Shy contained 2 versions and a B-side called A World Outside (written by Xasqui Ten). It was written by Natalie Merchant and Iván Ten. Gun Shy was originally a song released by the 10000 Maniacs.
In 1995 was released the second single called Pure, a cover of a Lightning Seeds song. The vinyl contained 3 versions and one more song called Impure. It was remix by Primax and released in the UK as promo (under Eternal Records).
Big Area was a cover of Then Jerico, and All I Want was once again a cover version of a song of The Lightning Seeds.
Afterwards, a new single, Love To Hate You (a cover of Erasure's single) was released and a complete CD album entitled Gun Shy was recorded. It was recorded and published by Bit Music, an independent label in Spain, still nowadays working with dance releases. It included a '96 remix of Gun Shy and some other versions of old songs such as Kill Me Dearly, On My Own, The Promise or It's My Life.
The last single Your Swaying Arms, a cover of Deacon Blue, was released in 1997. The vinyl contained 4 versions and one more song called Groove Zone.
Nowadays Marian records songs for commercials and TV ads spots, and is still the voice of many dance tracks, like Pont Aeri. Xasqui Ten also stood behind the projects Essential, Good Bytes, Red Dance, Speed Limit, and XTM. He did remixes for 2 In A Room, 740 Boyz and DJ Bobo's Chihuaha.
