Prince Damien biography

Messiah Prince Sheridan Damien Ritzinger was born on December 12th 1990 in Johannesburg, South Africa. In 1991, his family moved back to Munich, Germany, where he grew up. He discovered soon his passion for music and dancing. After his Abitur in 2011, he did studies in the Deutsche-Pop Academie in Munich to learn about music production and sound technic, and completed his studies in 2013. Then he started a carreer of freelance singer, songwriter and producer, and took hip-hop and streetjazz lessons in various dance schools. Since 2012, he's been a succesful pop singer, not only his homeland Germany but also abroad. His music is a combination of pop rhythms reminding of the 90s, a little bit of beach and feel-good music, as well as "plastic poppin" beats. He performed on stage along with his guitarist Edi Wagner, singing his own songs as well as covers.

In 2013, he released his first single Easy Breezy. It was followed by When I Think of You in February 2014, then Beep Me in August of the same year. A mini-album entitled Mr Easy was also released

In 2014, he became Pharao's new rapper.

In April 2015 he was selected during the auditions in X Factor in Britain, where he performed Easy Breezy with his guitarist Eduard Wagner.

2016 : he took part as candidate to real-TV casting show Deutschland Sucht den Superstar and won the finale. His single Glücksmoment, written and composed by Dieter Bohlen went #1 in Germany and was shortly followed by a new album entitled Glücksmomente.

2017 : he toured with the other DSDS candidates, then took part to real-TV show Dance Dance Dance.

2019 : he entered the cast of the musical The Band in Theater des Westens in Berlin.

2020 : he won real-TV survival show Ich bin ein Star – Holt mich hier raus!

2023 : he joined popschlager boys-band Team5ünf.
