Pleasure Beat biography

The single First Time was produced by Bradley Daymond and Markus FJ Klinke. The musical team includes T. Antony, T. Boyle and G. Spencer. The artist featured is named J. Cock (actually Sheree Jeacocke). The song was a dance cover of a track by Robin Beck.

Another track was recorded : Hand In My Pocket (a cover of Alanis Morisette).

Sheree, the vocalist, was born 1958 in Toronto. She started in the CBC-TV musical The King Of Friday Night. After working as background and session vocalist, she started her solo career in 1985, releasing the single You Get To Me. Her first album, Feel It was released the following year. A second album followed in 1989. The first single, Woman's Work was her biggest hit, entering the Canadian Top 10 in February 1990. The song was later covered by Tina Arena, among others. In 1990, 3 singles were released : Before We Fall, Bang On and Forever You, Forever Me.

In 1993 came her third album Miss My Love, strongly influenced by gospel and R&B, released under her full name Sheree Jeacocke. 3 singles followed : Miss My Love, Serious and Everybody Needs A Love. In 1995, she created her own Sheree Music label and released a few tracks. After contributing to the Pleasure Beat Project, she released a solo single under the name J-Cock a cover of Stevie Wonder's Sunshine Of My Life, then a cover of Queen's We Will Rock You as Deeva.

1998 : Sheree did background vocals on two songs off the Blues Brothers 2000 movie soundtrack

2001 : Sheree appeared on Finkleman's 45s: The Doug Riley Sessions Live from the Montreal Bistro.

2002 : Sheree's vocals were featured on Jaypaul Project album The Story Of My Life.

Sheree nowadays works in the real estate business under her spouse name Sheree Cerqua.
