Alex Perry biography

Alex Perry was born Alessandro Perrone in Verona on February 14th 1968. In 1986, he recorded his first single for an independent label. A year later he recorded Raise Tonight under the project name Dandy, followed by I'll Be There, Casanova, Girl I Love You and Loving Your Lips released under Flea Records. The singles were pretty succesful.

In 1990, after collaborations with various artists such as Nico Di Palo and Sabrina, he started working for the Italian television as a guitarist and vocalist, apparring in shows such as Festivalbar, Ricomincio da Due with Raffaella Carrà (Rai2). In 1991 he relaunched his solo carreer and released Fool Guys, which appeared on several compilations. He was even support act for a concert of Jo and Sabrina during a tour in Italian disco clubs.

During the Summer 1992, he founded Tour De Force with American singer and DJ Ronnie Jones. They released two covers : September (Earth Wind & Fire song) and 5 O'clock In The Morning (Village People). In 1994 he released various mix compilations which entered in several European charts, as well as a music video shot in London. In 1995, he became the rapper for eurodance project Texture.

In February of 1996 he recorded a cover of Alison Moyet's Love Resurrection and a cover of Pistol In My Pocket, both released under project name Paul Ice. In April, under the pseudonym of Alex Perry he dropped a cover of Sheila & B.Devotion, Love Me Baby. He also took care of the artistic production and cooperated actively in new projects.

In 1997 he participated in the release of two more singles: A Kay B Jay's Everything She Wants and Flash in the Night as an arranger and producer. In August of that year he undertook a tour in Japan under the pseudonym of Ken Martin. In April 1998, Alex Perry published the single Copacabana.

1999 : he collaborated with the house group Groovy 69's. This collaboration led him to make two singles and he toured for six months in Spain. In December of that year signed a contract for an independent Italian label which was terminated in March 2001 due to his creative differences with producers.

2002 : in November he collaborated with Media Records on the project Soho Boy feat. Alex and a cover of I Want Your Sex.

2005 : he participated in the TV show "Sei Un Mito" on Canale 5.

2022 : he released the single Dancing On A Memory
