Outta Control biography
Membres : Barry Harris (singer, producer), Kimberley Wetmore (female vocalist)
Outta Control features Barry Harris, a producer better known for E-Magine and Kon Kan, who scored the international and top 15 U.S. hit I Beg Your Pardon back in 1989, Rachid Wehbi, an extraordinaire keyboardist and the powerful vocals of Kimberley Wetmore.
One of their first hits was Tonight It's Party Time. Featuring Simone Denny, entered the Top 50 hit on the Billboard Dance Chart and also went Top 10 in DMA. Virtually every cool radio station in the U.S. has played this in the mix and it has now been licensed worldwide. Mixes included the Euro Mix, the Euro Odyssey Mix, and Chris Cox's Peak Hour House Anthem. It contained some elements picked up in the track Weekend (by James Calloway and Leroy Jackson).
The new album from Outta Control is perhaps the best dance album of this year. It contains 10 tracks, including the previous hits Tonight It's Party Time, the version of Joan Osbourne's hit One Of Us and their last single Sinful Wishes. It has also other vocalists, like the Toronto diva Miss S., D.J. Terry Kelly (Top Kat), Simone Denny (on Tonight It's Party Time) and Kon Kan himself. He appears in the remake to Giorgio Moroder's Together In Electric Dreams which also contains For You I Will which is not available on the album. By the way, Moroder has also given a hand in this album, that presents the best of today's eurodance music. There are also 3 house remixes of the singles, but the album is so good that they are neglegible.
