Julie Morrison biography

Julie Morrison (aka Jay Jay, Jay Mondi, Julie Zee) is a singer and songwriter from the UK. Under the alias Jay Mondi, she released several singles produced by Chris Paul. Her vocals on Take Me Away were sampled by Plus Staples and used on his 1993 single We Got 2 Be.

In 1995, Julie Morrison did vocals on Mobius Loop's cover of Sleeping In My Car. A videoclip was shot for the single. The same year, she wrote and did background vocals for singer Louise on single Light Of My Life. In 1997, she went solo again an released song I Believe under stage name Jay Jay.

She kept on collaborating with Louise, writing and performing background vocals for 2 Faced (2000), Stuck In The Middle With You (2001) and for the album Elbow Beach (2000). She also wrote and did background vocals for Darude's song Out Of Control (Back For More) in 2000. She has scored 2 platinum and one 3x platinum so far.

She also performs solo as Little Missy, for tribute show, or with a band. She's been resident singer at the Monte Carlo Casino club in Monaco with the Tony Evens orchestra for 6 months. She's been performing cabaret at Madam Jojos Soho London for 9 months. She was also resident singer at Butlins 1st West End Hotel and ‘No 1’ club Dean St London during 1 year.
