Kristian Lundin biography

At an age when most writers and producers are just learning their professional chops, 31-year-old Kristian Lundin has proved himself to be a musical powerhouse, collaborating with some of the industry's biggest names. International chart-toppers such as Celine Dion, the Backstreet Boys and 'NSync have all benefited from his song writing and producing magic, which are winning him worldwide acclaim -- and racking up impressive numbers (100 million record sales at last count).

Beginning his career as a member of the Swedish duo Amadin, Kristian's writing and production talents were quickly recognized by music industry icon Denniz PoP, who invited him to join the Cheiron Studios team just as they began their incredible string of successes in 1992. This is how they worked with artists such as E-Type, Papa Dee and Herbie.

Kristian's big break internationally came with the song Quit Playing Games With My Heart by the Backstreet Boys, which helped launch them into the pop stratosphere and into becoming one of the most successful acts of the 90's. As an encore, Kristian quickly followed that success by co-writing & producing Tearin Up My Heart for 'NSync, which became their hot ticket to the charts.

Following the untimely death of Denniz PoP, Kristian continued to work with fellow members of the Cheiron team, including Max Martin, Andreas Carlsson and Jake Schulze, carrying on the hit-making legacy by writing and producing hits like “Bye Bye Bye” with 'NSync, Britney Spears' Born To Make You Happy, That's The Way It Is for Celine Dion, and a host of other top international artists. Kristian's golden touch and special alchemy with Celine Dion continued with two other noteworthy collaborations, I'm Alive, Coulda' Woulda' Shoulda and The Greatest Reward which he co-wrote and co-produced.

Always with his capable hands in other projects, he continued churning out the hits for the Backstreet Boys, receiveing a Grammy-nomination for producing I Want It That Way together with Max Martin and contributing both as a producer and writer on Larger Than Life, As Long As You Love Me, Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely, EveryOne and Not For Me.

As might be expected, envy-inspiring accolades have followed. Kristian was nominated yet again for a Grammy for the second consecutive year in the U.S. -- this time for the monster hit Bye Bye Bye with 'NSync, which he co-wrote and co-produced. In addition to his Grammy nominations, he's also been presented with four American Diamond Awards and received an honor from SKAP (Swedish Composers Of Popular Music) in 2002.
