Future Beat biography

Future Beat is a project produced by Peter Bernhard Ballweg aka Pit Bailey. The singles were released under Shift Music.

Rappers : Ian Carma, Mark Harris, Kid Lotus, MC Hi-Hat.

Their first single was It's My Party, released in 1993, a cover of an old disco hit (which would be released much later in Spain, in 1998). The rapper was Ian Carma.

Then came Faith The Night, released in the same year in Germany (and in March 1994 in Italy). It featured once again the raps of Ian Carma along with the vocals of Tania. Also known as Tanya, she had released a solo single entitled Waiting To Be Found in 1986. In 2001, she also did vocals on Kompis presents Basecamp Wolf Acapulco Nights.

In January 1994 Future Beat released Power Of Love. It was written and arranged by Peter Ballweg and Kid Lotus (who also did the ragga-raps). It was re-released in January 1995.

Then came the single Destiny the next month. While Ian Carma was the rapper on the original version, Mark Harris did the raps on the remixed version.

Then came the very good album entitled Destiny that gathered their first hits. The album tracks Dance To The Rhythm, The Only One, For Your Love as well as X-Tasy (LP mix) featured Mark Harris.

Still in 1994, they released the single X-Tasy in August (which would be re-released in 1998 in Spain). The singles featured 2 different rappers : MC Hi-Hat did the raps on the Future Mix and the Present Mix while Mark Harris was the rapper on the verison which was on the album.

Then came 3 more singles : 100% Pure Love (co-produced by DJ Llördy, with vocals by Suzana), Dancin Factory and It's My Party.

Thanks to Konstantin Yakimenko, Erik, Necronomic, David Nivin "Captain DJ" and Fred Oudoul
