Frankie biography

Frankie's real name is Francesco Lovecchio. Born in Rome, November 18, 1963, he started his carreer by doing vocals on DJ Lelewell's single Magic. The he released a cover of Christopher Cross' Ride Like The Wind in 1989.

He co-founded the Canthina Band in the 1991 with 6 other musicians (including Marco Iannarilli) . The following year, he releases 2 solo piano-house singles under Flying Records label : World Of Love and I Need Your Lovin'. In 1993, he recorded Girlfriend under the alias Frankie & The Boys.

Then in 1994 came the nice eurodance single Watching You, which was written by F. Lovecchio, L. Pellegrino and P. Micioni, produced by Paul & Peter Micioni, executive producer was Giacomo Maiolini, released under Italian Style.

Last Frankie single When Doves Cry was house/garage

He still performs almost every night with his Canthina Band in the best disco-clubs all around the country.
