Flexx biography

Members and rappers : Chris (Christian) Ljung, Malvern Mandengu
Co-writers and producers :  Jan Nordlund, Johan Lagerlöf
Location : Solna, Sweden
Label : Stockholm records

The rappers Chris Ljung and Malvern Mandengu met each other in 1993 and they recorded the single Wake Up which was a big hit (at least in Sweden). The vocals were done by Nana Hedin. In 1994 they released 3 hit singles : Flexxible, The Good, The Bad And The Ugly and Runner-Up. They also visited the track Innocent Children on Cool James & Black Teacher's album Zooming You.

An album entitled Flexxibility followed. The new singer was Kajsa Mellgren. She did leadvocals on almost the whole album with Lotten Andersson. Breakout featured backing vocals by Coffee. Captive In The Past contained lead vocals by Lotten Andersson, backing vocals by Michel Arna. Kajsa left Flexx in 1995 and was replaced by 'Silver' who sang on the track Spider. A new album entitled Generation XX was planned, but it never came out.

The duo Nordlund/Lagerlöf have produced many other projects in the last years (they are producing and remixing under the name of 'Bass Nation'), such as Oktan, Da Scout and Elephant & Castle whose single was a progressive-remake of the Flexx's first single Wake Up. and was released in 1998. It still featured Nana Hedin's voice, but with no raps any more.

I'm Ya Lover was actually released by another project of the same name, coming for the Netherlands. All tracks of this trance single were written by Erik Kim & Rabib, published by XSV Music Publishing.
