FX biography

Rapper, singer, songwriter and producer and remixer FX was born in The Netherlands, in North Holland. His real name is Frans Zid Merkx. He was rapper and songwriter for project Infobeat between 1990 and 1991 and on L.A. Style's The Album in 1992. Sometimes called "The Godfather of Techno", he is considered as a pioneer in combining rap and euro sound.

After he left L.A. Style he started collaborating with producers and labels from Italy and the Netherlands, contributing to eurodance projects Nevada, Andromeda and Intolekt. He also collaborated to F.O.X.X. ‎- No Feelings which was produced by former 2 Unliimited rapper Ray Slijngaard.

FX also worked with Fabian Lennsen, the main producer behind DJ Chukie.

FX once said : "I've worked with many great artists and even found great artists and if something comes along that excites me then I will be back in the studio."

He lives in Amsterdam, Holland.
