FKW biography

FKW is a project from UK. The producers are Tony King & Pete Waterman.

They started in 1991 with a track called Laura Palmer's Theme. The CD, released under PWL International, contained a Master Edit, a Tin Man Kicks In Mix and a TK Go 94 Mix, as well as a B-side called Respect Yourself. Music was written by Angelo Badalamenti. It was produced, arranged & mixed by Safe Hands and Waterman

The second single to be released was entitled Never Gonna Give You Up. Out in 1993, it included a 7" Edit , a Team Mix, a Garage Mix, a Roll Mix & a Drum Mix.

Then came Seize The Day, released the same year under Warner Music. It was a 4-track CD including a Mainstream Vibe Radio mix, a Drumbeat Tip radio mix, a Main Stream Vibe mix, a Drumbeat Tip mix, a Handy Horn mix and a Deuce's Dub. There was also a new version of Never Gonna Give You Up : a DMC Remix.

In 1994, a single called Jingo was out. Apart from a B-side called Let It Play, one could find a Carl Cox Remix & Safe Hands Remix. The next single was called This Is The Way, with 4 different remixes.

The last single to be released was entitled Twin Peaks Theme. One could find 4 different mixes on this CD, among them a Tin Man Nick In Mix.

When asked about an album, Waterman answers : "Probably. I'm not convinced that we have an album worth issuing. I think we've got five or six good tracks. I don't want to put my mistakes out to people. I don't think that does any good. I try to put out records I really feel are statements and I don't mean that in any big way, I just mean good records."

Thanks to Vision and Gianni
