Conchita biography

Conchita Leeflang was born in Surinam, South America. The youngest of seven children of Franklin J. Leeflang, and Ursila Leeflang Playfair, Conchita grew up in a very loving artistic family. According to versions, Conchita's father was was a songwriter and lead singer of the band Los Negros or a lawyer and politician who became first the Minister of Internal Affairs and Justice, then the temporary Prime Minister (maybe he was both...). Conchita moved to Belgium where her dad worked as the Ambassador from Suriname. Conchita was a model in Belgium, but also started singing, and made several hit records (two of them even hit gold). Conchita was trained by the acting coach to the stars Aaron Speiser.

After being discovered from a school talent show in Belgium, Conchita was offered a record contract, producing her first record Don’t Fade Away Hoshana. In 1991, she did a song with the Belgian singer Plastic Bertrand, (famous for his hit Ca Plane Pour Moi) : House Machine under project name Club Control. She contributed as female singer and rapper to the Belgian projects Bang Gang and Black Kiss. At the same time, she got a big modeling contract in the US with a modeling agency. She recorded a studio album but it does not seem to have been ever released.

Conchita appeared in a few TV shows : Sliders and Performing As (where she did an imitation of Tina Turner)

She recently started a carreer of actress. In 2000 she played the role of a Bond girl in The Cheapest Movie Ever Made, in 2004 she appeared in Super Spy, and in 2005 she was in Unbeatable Harold.

2004 : she recorded song This is my life.

2006 : Conchita has been in a relationship with Kid Rock.

2009 : she hosted and performed for the 5th Annual Unity Is Strength Awards show in Rotterdam, Holland.

2012 : she appeared in realt-TV show Nederlandse Hollywood vrouwen (Dutch Hollywood Women) with Yolanda Foster, Princess Inge and Myrthe Mylius. She launched a baby clothing line called after her daughter : Baby London Victoria.

2014 : she released solo single Broken Wings,a cover from Mr. Mister
