David Brandes (aka Davy James, Jennifer Brannigan, Jane Tempest) was born in Basel, Switzerland, of the 9th of December 1968.
Member of Bros Music. Co-producer and co-writer with John O'Flynn and Felix J. Gauder of many German dance acts such as E-Rotic, Fancy, Bad Boys Blue, Heart Attack, Nina (for the track Wanna Feel So Good), Dance 4 Color, Dschinghis Khan, Apanachee, Chris Norman, Beat Control, Pop Secret, Pupo, Based On Dreams, IQ Check, The Lovers, Missing Heart, Fred Feuerstein...
He often got in conflict with the people he worked with, because he forgot to pay their part. According to people who worked with him, Felix Gauder was actually the most important person behind all of David's dance projects, performing the necessary editing job leading to a releasable song.
He also had a solo carrer and released 2 singles under tha Polygram label and one under the Sony label.
It was revealed recently (and confirmed by himself) that he had been the real voice of every E-rotic rappers, apart from the very first single.
2002 : apart from E-rotic, David Brandes is currently working on a new dance project called Crescent. He will be the voice of the project, and should also appear on stage.
2004 : David Brandes created a new project called Xandoo, with Lydia (the last E-rotic vocalist) as frontwoman. The first single is entitled Vaya Con Dios.
2005 : E-rotic project was stopped... John O'Flynn and David Brandes wrote the single Run And Hide for Gracia, who competed for Germany at the Eurovision contest. David Brandes was also producer for the project Vanilla Ninjas, who will represent Switzerland. And his project Virus Incorporation would tour with DJ Bobo.
April : David openly admitted to have manipulated the German charts by buing a large amount of the Vanilla Ninja's and Gracia's last singles. After this scandal, the singles were banned from charts, Swiss broadcaster SF DRS dissolved their contract with him, and German broadcaster NDR excluded him from the German delegation for Kyev.
2006 : E-rotic's single King Kong was translated in Japanese and re-released in Germany and Japan by the project Shanadoo. Shanadoo, David Brandes' new project, featured 4 cute Japanese girls called Junko, Chika, Manami and Marina.
2007 : he produced the project Xantoo and their single Cos I Believe.
2011 : he composed the single Wir War'n Mehr for Oliver Frank.
