Black Kiss biography

Only a few weeks after the huge anthem Pump up the Jam, the Technotronic team Patrick De Meyer and Jo Bogaert launched the project Black Kiss. The first single Jump On The Floor reminded a lot the style of the succesful hit Pump up the Jam. The female rapper and singer was credited as Cherita (actually Conchita Leeflang, a female rapper who had took part to the project Bang Gang. We can hear her give her name in her raps...) and the video clip showed the interpret and the dancers in a gymnasium.

It was released in Belgium under the label Play It Again Sam and in France under Happy Music. If it didn't do as well as Technotronic, it had a good success in club and sales charts. A remix was made by Serge Ramaekers, who was also very famous at the same time with his project Confetti's. Exactly one year later, the follow-up called Fun Boy was released, still with Conchita (this time under her real name) and in the same style. It had less success and Black Kiss didn't go on... It was licensed under the label Who's that beat records in Austria.

Remixes of Jump On The Floor were confidentially released in 1999.
