Bingo Boys biography
The Bingo Boys were an Austrian project from Wienna, a trio consisting of Klaus Biedermann, Paul Pfab and Helmut Wolfgruber. They were the first Austrian project who had the chance to sign a contract directly with an American major company.
They released their three first singles in 1991. They started with the hit How To Dance (which went #11 in the Swiss charts), shortly followed by a first album. Produced by Martin Neumayer, it featured Princessa & Two Deadly Elements as performers and co-writers, as well as Stefan Biedermann as guest musician.
In 1992 they released the single Chartbuster. The vinyl included also 2 other tracks : Countdown and Bingo. It featured raps by Princessa, vocals by Jennifer Burgoyne, Lilian Day Jackson, and Lisa Shaw. The single was made after theme from the TV-charts-show "X-Charts".
The follow-up 10 More Minutes was out in 1993. The CD-maxi featured 4 remixes of the song, plus a B-siode entitled Clocks Are Deep.
In 1994, a major eurodance hit, Sugar Daddy, and the second album, Color Of Music, were released. Their vocalists were Markus C Mauser and Vivian Sessoms (who was a part of the group Logic, and also appeared on Towa Tei's album Future Recall and Ryuichi Sakamoto's Sweet Revenge album ). The keyboardists were Klaus Biederman and Paul Pfab.
Then came No Communication, with remixes by Wicked Plastic, Rock Steady and Georg O'Luksch. It featured the sames vocalists as Sugar Daddy.
In 1998, a compilation including some Bingoboys hits as well as tracks from other artists produced by the Bingo Boys team (such as Discorama, Zona or Edelweiss) was released : it was entitled Bingoboys Production. After many hits and 2 albums, they finally split up.
2004 : Vivian Sessoms did vocals on David Morales' album 2 Worlds Collide last track Take My Luv.
2007 : Vivian Sessoms teamed up with Chris Parks for a soul duo project called Albright. They were nominated for Soul Tracks Best New Duo Award. Their new single was released on 9th October. A single entitled Mountain Song was released under the name Bingo Boys, but it's a different project...
2008 : Vivian recorded some new tracks for her new project Albright, which will be released at the end on February. They had planned to make a live appearance and signing at the records store Sound Of Market in Philly, but the date had to be rescheduled.
The BingoBoys are still active as a label, as well as audio, video, production and recording studio.
Thanks to D-man '94 and Tavi Meran, to Klaus Biedermann himself
