Alex Reginald Belcher biography

Alex Reginald Belcher aka Big Daddi was born in New Jersey, USA. After the end of military service in 1992, Big Daddi started collaborating with Captain Hollywood, performing during live shows as hypeman and MC. In 1993 he began working as a producer and guest rapper on projects such as Young Internationals.

In the summer of 1994 he became rapper for eurodance project Intermission. Single Piece Of My Heart went top 10 in Germany and many European countries, selling roughly 250,000 units. Then pop titan Dieter Bohlen hired him to perform guest rap vocals on his new project Major T - Keep the Frequency Clear which scored top 60 in in Scandinavian charts. But he was not credited for these 2 contributions.

In 1997, he teamed with Lori Glori and DJ M.A.R.S.S on Intermission's single Blow Your Mind. He produced and arranger eX-Rated's Move That Pussy. Then he collaborated with Captain Hollywood on his album Afterparty.

In 2001, he became ReAnimator and released single Ice Ice Baby 2001, recorded in Miami and featuring Vanilla Ice. Then came Rock Dis Room and Live Is Life 2002.

In 2003, Alex founded and produced party project Boom Boxx to release hits such as Boom:Boom:Boom (a cover of the Outhere Brothers, under Captain Hollywood's label Skreem Records). He also contributed to Captain Hollywood's Axel F 2003, Flying High 2003.

2004 : Balla Da Li was released as Boom Boxx Feat. Linda O.

2005 : he produced next Boom Boxx singles Hey Oh Cappuccino and Pokito (Me Me Ma Me Mo).

2006 : he did backing vocals on R'n'G - Ochie Walla, that he also composed and wrote along with Rico Sparx. He contributed to a track on Pachanga's best of album.

2009 : Alex took part as producer and rapper to Rec. Pro's cover of La Bouche's hit Sweet Dreams. He also did vocals on Crazy Frog's track Cha Cha Slide.

2010 : he produced and remixed Miami Inc. - Bop Bop!.

2014 : under stage name Big Daddi, he took part to Bumer!, Roben & Mike & Fully Charged - Belly Dancer.

2015 : he released single Tequila Shots under name Big Daddi. He produced the video for Hans Entertainment - Hoch die Hände Wochenende

2016 : he was back with Intermission for gigs. He also visited 2 Lian Ross singles Good Feeling Power and a cover of You’re My Heart, You're My Soul. He contributed to Finger & Kadel's single Fight for Your Right and released a new version of Ice Ice Baby with Andrew Spencer.

2017 : he was featured by Insane & Stone on single Room #9.

2018 : in November, he contributed to Clubbeat's single Move It.

2019 : he performed raps on F-Cape by Flip Capella's hardstyle cover of Hava Nagila, and to DJ Ostkurve's That's Amore 2K20.
