Antiloop biography

The DJs Robin Söderman and David Westerlund were childhood friends and neighbours in Lidingo, an island in Stockholm. They established Antiloop in year 1994 when a friend of them who owned a midi-studio offered them time to work there. They composed their first tracks using a Macintosh with Cubase 2.5 and an Ensoniq sampler, a Lexicon reverbe ans an 8-channel mixing table. Michel 'DJ Blakk' is the voice behind the tracks I Believe and Trespasser. They define their music style as 'progressive dance'.

In 1995 they released an EP entitled N.S.F.M.C. (Not Suitable For Mass Consomption) from where the song Beauty And The Beast became a hit. Antiloop's songs have succeeded especially in Sweden and in Norway. In June 1996 they released their first album called LP which went gold in Sweden and brought them a "Best dance act" Swedish Grammy award. Singles such as In My Mind and Believe became huge hits and techno-classics. In My mInd charted #16 in Israel (this was their only release in the country). On the 7th of February 2000, Start Rocking was the first single to be released from their new album. It was followed by Only You which peaked number 1 in the Swedish Dance Chart.

They also have remixed some singles by E-Type (Calling Your Name, So Dem A Con, Back In The Loop), Aqua (Dr Jones, Lollipop), Melodie MC (Real Man), Flexx, Vacuum, Kate, Army Of Lovers... They have their own studio, called Rebel's Room, in the center of Stockholm. Every Sunday (starting from August 20th 2000). Robin and David will be inhouse DJ's at Cafe Opera in Stockholm.
