Angel's biography
Label: Virgin Records Sweden AB.
The girls trio was discovered during a pop festival in 1987 by Lars Lundgren, who made them sign their first contract and helped them to have their first TV appearance. At this moment, they were 4 (Jessica Larsson, Linda Gustavsson, Linda Jansson and Maria Zaring) and the group was named Angel. In 1991 they released under Polydor the single Somaren I City (Summer In The City), which became an instant hit. A big Swedish tour and an album entitled Äventyr i Natten (Adventures In The Night) followed. 4 successful singles were released from this album. They competed in Melodifestivalen (Swedish melody grand prix) in 1992 with the song Venus Butterfly.
Afterwards, the group left their records company, changing for Virgin. It was time for a change of style too, turning to dance-oriented style and songs in English language. They released the single Stay With Me under the name Angel's.
Their single Bend Me, Shape Me was composed and written by Weiss/English, with raps by Stevie James, who was also producer. It was mixed by Anders Thorslund, Stevie James & Lasse Lundgren, recorded at Studio City Recording and remixed by Hype Crew. Bend Me, Shape Me was a hit of the band American Breed in the 60s. The single, released under the name Angel Eyes, scored a big success not only in Sweden but also worldwide. A second album was planned for release.
