Terri, from what I read in your bio, you were born in a military family. How comes you didn't follow your parents' career ?

I did work for a military company, but I studied economics in Florida and never really had the same start as my parents.

Many of your fans know you from the German project 2 Eivissa. Could you tell me how did you began to work for this project ?

Modern Talking producer, Luis Rodriguez, signed me after we reached top 10 in the UK and we reached quickly no. 1 in Spain, and no.2 in Italy and it just kept on working. The group disbanded for unknown reasons during a deal that was being worked out in the United States. It is still very requested on my tours..

What happened after you left 2 Eivissa ?

I had several songs working at the same time. AvantGarde, Future Breeze, DJ the Crow, D:ONS, Roger Sanchez, John Dahlback, Raul Rincon, Kurd Maverick, Eddie Thonieck and so many good features have kept me in the business.

You worked also with Future Breeze on their album. Could you tell me how it was to work with them ?

They were so talented. They played live synthesizers on stage and it was the best dance trio behind us, Serge of the Netherlands. I really loved their music..

In 2001 you met Jerry Roperro. How was it, working with Jerry ?

We met and brought him from Spain, with Luis Rodriguez and during a inpromtu session, we recorded Get Down which has now been released 3 times or more and went top 10 in several countries. Jerry is one of my best supporters and actually gave me the connection to the Swedish teams like Henrik B, where I recorded Soul Heaven.

You released a club anthem Get down. Does the track have a story ?

Not really. I wanted Jerry to just let me eat my lunch and he wanted a vocal now so I said, I'm gonna sing the simplest line ever. Later I heard it again, but i never expected this kind of success. We wrote a song called FUCK U and we recorded Always Get What I Want with Denis The Menace, another great friend.

I see that you're involved in many dance projects. Dance is your favorite genre !?

I love electro styles but I also love the beautiful high-energy you hear in gay clubs as well, so I'm really mixed.

In 2008 A Soul Dedication, your solo album, was released. Did you write the songs for this album ?

I wrote all but one song with Torsten Abrolat, my musical director and one with Cindy Lauper producer, Johan Boback and of course my good friend Stephen H. Dorf, of Los Angeles as renowned songwriter and producer.

Does this album have a story ?

The album chronicles love mistakes and the journey to being in love. Its quite romantic but also, melancholy.

This year, you score another success with DONS and the single You used to hold me, followed by an amazing video. Who had the idea of that video ?

I wasn’ t involved in the video planning and I always critic myself so hard that it's unbelievable. The song was very successful. I am in Australia touring now as I complete this interview and performing this song on every event.

Terri, what do you think about music industry of nowadays?

Well, people don’t see that good quality cost and we want it all for free, so when styles are more limited it will be very sad but there are still great new acts and artist and the legends just keep on rolling along. I love Lady Gaga, and Rihanna, but i also, love Michael Bublé and many other adult contemporary artist.

What advise would you give to a person who wants to step in this industry ?

Have strong skin and don't just think about earning money. There are times when things wont really work out, either before you start or duing your success. I have seen so many lose everything or lose themselves and it's hard and sad.

What you hate the most ?

Arrogance when you don’t need to act this way. just ask for what really needs to be done. Times are tough, we just don’t need drama from artist or industry people or fans, so just do your thing..

What will be your future plans?

I'm recording new songs with Eddie Thonieck, just cut a film trailor with John Dahlback, completed a DONS summer song, and im writing in Brisbane Austrailia with some deejays on that side of the world. I will of course head to WMC in Miami and also, tour extensively..

What can you tell me about Melanie Thornton, what kind of person was ?

She was like a light of sunshine. She walked up to me on a TV show and i just melted. She was everything I thought she would be. She is gone too soon. My first producer Amir Saraf always spoke of me to her and her to me and it was weird but meeting her we felt connected. Kim Sanders and I cried for her. It was too sad. She felt like i knew her so much better. I plan to do a tribute of some type.
