Thank you for having me on this interview
I am doing great.
Yes, I am in Morocco getting in shape for the things to come next year. .
Spike was a fun time for me... Lots of partying, great success, great team to work with at Universal, great producers... lots of fun.
I met Romeo and one of the producers in a club where I was singing and being an MC and the producer had an idea for a song. We tried it and Spike was born. Before Spike I worked with many known artist, I toured with the Black Gospel Pearls, had my own all female band The Divas of Soul and basically made my way singing at places like the Apollo Theater in New York and The Coupe 77 in Berlin and Performing at the Million women March. .
Wow that's difficult. I loved making every one of Spike's videos and the live performances especially the ones with all the stars some who are still my friends. Its exciting to be the artist all of a sudden.
I wanted to try acting. So I made a couple movies, some tv spots and then decided to go behind the camera producing reality shows like my show, the Ultimate house party.
Yes, I am finishing up the details of my contract with a new label in the US and I hope that Deejays will be the first single. You know how things change, but its a big label and I'm happy to be there. So far so good.
Yes. Definitely I love the clubs and specifically the deejays. They love the dynamics of my voice and I just love the energy of the club. I'm really excited about next year. I have some music that will be included in films in America. So my life is really nice right now.
Project Butterfly is a community based program dedicated to keeping live music in the community. In schools, nursing homes, bars. I believe that music has a healing quality that people need simply to live. It was a hard struggle getting the program up and running, but live music is on the move in Philly they are calling it the Philly Renaissance...similar to the Harlem Renaissance when during difficult financial times (similar to these times ) great artist emerged bringing great music to the people that lasted generations. Like Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday and others. Well this is what's happening in my city and I am proud to say I had a hand in it. I felt I owed it to my city because they a somehow mae me think Iwas good enough as a musician to compete in the world arena of music. It's my thank you to them. .
Yes, I am shooting an american film right now in Morocco. It's a small role and it actually was not planned, but I start shooting in a couple days and I am really in a real blessed season for Pam lol...
... Happening all around us. Dont let it pass you by.
Hard to live with so we ignore them sometimes and forgive them all the time.
... hard to come by, but necessary for progress.
... Everything.
... are the only way we can imagine ourselves to become better than what we are.
