How did you start to work in this industry ?

I'm an educated musical artist from the beginning.. I worked a lot, with show and musical before I came into the music industry.

Did you work with Ace of Base ? If so, how was it to work with them ?

Yes, I’ve worked with them :) and it was wonderful.

What was your previous job before Nexx ?

I worked in the musical "Mammamia" with Robert in the group. And also I was in another group called "Cosmo4".

What kind of band was Cosmo 4 ? What genre of music approach?

Kind of the same music as Nexx, but more pop-oriented.

IIf you had to choose between musicals and being a dance artist, what you choose ?

I would choose singer/dancer artist.

You come from a country that has made dance music history by launching so many Euro dance artists., were you into eurodance fever ? ?

Yes, I suppose so.

Do you have a favorite eurodance act or artist ?

Haddaway, DJ Bobo and Snap!

Do you often have contacts with other dance divas like Petra Marklund (September), Velvet, Nana Hedin ( E-Type) ? With whom would you like to make a featuring ?

We and September has the same manager here in Sweden. Oh! I think with September.

Tell me the story of Nexx project : how did you meet the guys ?

I met Robert in Mamma Mia the musical, when we started to work together. They needed a singer for their band. We had a meeting all three and Sebastian liked me :) then they tried me on for one concert, and after that I was in :) that was 2005.

Do you have Syncronize lips ?

:)) Yes of course.

Who wrote that track ?

Sebastian and Robert together with Ivar Lisinski.

I saw that you visit our country Romania. What do you know about our country ?

Yes :): we´ve been there a couple of times
I love it! It’s really a nice country.

And Romanian boys are nice too ?

Yes they are, and the guys loves the Romanian girls .

Did you had the opportunity to taste our traditional food ?

Not really actually. But next time I will :):).

Tell me a little bit of the Nexx album, who wrote the songs for this material ?

Is the best album in the world :-), Sebastian and Robert wrote the songs with other producers like Ivar Lisinski,Niklas King and Jonas von der Burg.

What is you favorite tune from this material ?

Universal Gravity.

In which countries was it released ?

Romania, Moldavia, Poland, Spain, Israel.

What is your personal opinion about the TV shows like Popstars, American idol, who launch starts ?

I think it’s a good idea. To give unknown talents the opportunity to make it :)

Who choose the name Nexx ?

We think it sounds and looks good.

Have you already been told that your band Nexx resembles Danish band Da Buzz?

Yes, we've heard so too.

What single will be released next?

Oh... that, we don’t know yet… we are working in the studio. We just released the single Synchonize lips in our country Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark.

Johanna, if you had to characterize yourself in three words, what would it be?

Energetic, Flirty and Sweet ;);).

Do you have any regrets ?

No :) My goal is about to come true, so I’m very happy with everything.

What do you hate the most ?

War and bad people

Tell me how did you start to work in this industry ?

I started to work with Rob in a pop group in Sweden in 2002 called Supernatural

Who choose the name of the band Nexx ? And why this name ?

Rob can answer that...

Tell me a little bit of Synchronize Lips tune ? Who wrote that track ?

Rob and I wrote the track with a very good co-writer called Ivar Lisinski and Jonas von der Burg produced it, the producer behind September, Velvet, Danny we released it first in Poland, it went good, then we released it in Romania and it went even better …
It was one of the most played songs in radio in Romania for a long time

Was Syncronize Lips first released in Poland ?

Yes, it was first released in Poland, we won a prize in Poland for best international hit at Eska Music Awards, and we came at 2 place at Sopot Hit Festiwal in Poland, we got the prize from Orda in Oct this year in Romania.

Why did you choose Poland as your first country and not Sweden ?

It was a record label in Poland who wanted to release Sync Lips. They wanted to work with us, so that’s why we started there, and our manager had good contacts with them Synconize Lips is now released in Scandinavia and is top 10 at the Swedish Dance Chart

Would be a second version of the Synchronize Lips video for Scandinavia ?

New video for Scandinavia, no maybe for UK and US :)

I know that you visit our country Romania, what was your first impression ?

Sexy girls, they dress very sexy in clubs :)

Are you thinking about coming back with Nexx again ?

Of course, we released a new single in Romania after Syncronize Lips, called Paralyzed, it went ok and now we are working on a new single to be released January next year... I hope we can come and do some gigs in Romania soon

Tell me the story of Nexx first album, does it have a story ?

We have written songs many years, Rob and I, and after we released Syncronize Lips they wanted an album, so we wrote more songs with different writers and producers. Every song is not a hit you write :)

Tell me the story of Nexx first album, does it have a story ?

Your job before Nexx was being a DJ ? Are you still doing that in your free time ?

I'm still DJing from time to time, it would be fun to DJing in Romania too:)

You come from a country that has made dance music history by launching so many Euro dance artists. Are you ever thinking of collaborating with of the other home-grown acts like E-Type, Pandora, Dr. Alban or Leila K?

You never know, time will tell :)
Or maybe a Romanian artist like sexy Inna or Marius

What are the future plans for Nexx ?

We are working on a new album right now, I hope it will be released next year...
And I hope we can come on tour to Romania soon

Robert interview

How did you start to work in this industry ?

I was educated musical artist in London so I always knew I would work in this industry, I graduated in 2002 and I stared in many musicals. One of them was the ABBA musical Mamma Mia, there I met Johanna.

Who choose the name Nexx, and why this name ?

We had the name "Natural Ex" from the beginning but it was to long so we shorted it down to NEX and added an extra X.

Did you think that Synchronize Lips had the potential to become a hit ?

Yes!

Who came up with that video idea for Synchronize Lips?

Me and Sebastian!

In Poland Nexx is on the same record label as Basic Element... are you planning to do a featuring with them?

Not right now, but maybe in the future, we are good friends with them. I live on the same street as Andrea from Basic Element in Stockholm.

Robert were you into 90 eurodance ?

:-) yes, I trained a lot of dance when I was a teenager and we danced a lot to Eurodance music. I liked 2 Unlimited alot and we also had some good eurodance artists in Sweden at that time, for example Leila K.
I like David Guetta alot at the moment and it would be really cool to do something with him one day.

Nexx won an award here in Romania. Can you tell me a little bit about that award?

Yes! Debut of the year!! It's very overwhelming!

What was your first impression about our country ?

Very nice people!

Are you thinking to visit us again (with Nexx of course) ?

Yes we hope we can do it soon.

What do you hate the most ?

War & spiders! ;-)

What are the future plans for Nexx ?

To release a new single for Europe and do album no2!
And to come to Romania!
