Ian Van Dahl was created by Christophe Chantzis and Erik Vanspauwen in the beginning of 2000. Christophe Chantzis is no stranger in the Belgian dance scene... he was already involved in projects like Absolom and Astroline in the past. Their first single Castles In The Sky was an instant hit, no only in Belgium. In Germany it reached #2 in the dancecharts, it was # 3 in UK, and in the Canadian dancechart it got up to # 1 ! Last but not least they entered the American billboard charts (highest place #78) for a few months and they got into the Top15. Some remixes were made by German DJs like Tomasso Dedonatis (Watergate, DJ Quicksilver) and Wippenberg aka Olaf Dieckmann.

Jessy De Smet was born the 8th of July 1976 in Zottegem, from a couple of musicians. She released her first single in 1985 as she was only 8, a duet with Willy Sommers. About a year and a half later, Marijn De Valck, who lived in the same town as Jessy, asked her to record a song called Vang het licht (catch the light). All the money earned with this song, was donated to the Belgian Federation of Autism. In the meanwhile Jessy's parents started their own band, "Jennifer Band" in which Jessy started singing at the age of 12.

Kate Ryan was born Katrien Verbeeck on the 22nd July 1980 in a small village named Tessenderlo in Belgium to Dutch parents. Kate developed interests such as horse-riding and water-skiing, which she both practises at quite a good level up to this very day. As virtually her whole family played either the guitar or the piano, gifted Kate developed an equally large soft spot for both instruments. Belgian musician and composer Patrick Claesen aka Pat Krimson was born in 1966 in the Belgian region of Limburg. He started his carreer in the mid 80s. In 1988 he was hired as promotion boy at Antler-Subway Records in Aarschot. At that time nobody could have dreamed that this man from Limburg would become one of the driving forces behind this company. On the one hand he set up a succesful record label Dance Opera, which soon became one of the most popular labels thanks to hits like Time Modulator, Flashing and Fly Tox. On the other hand he founded the popular Flemish band Leopold 3, with whom he reaches the zenith of fame in Belgium.

It featured the female vocalist Evi "Evy" Goffin, born on 27th February 1981 in Antwerp. She was no newcomer in the musical business : under the name of Medusa, she released a single entitled Miss You with Fiocco. She also took part to the track New Year's Day, a trance cover of U2, with 2 Fabiola. As for, Peter Luts, he has been already producing for A&S Productions for more than 5 years and did remixes for Milk Inc. David Vervoort (aka Dave McCullen) is a singer-producer-performer who had been previously DJ-ing for over 7 years in Belgian clubs and sometimes in other countries.

Peter Luts is a DJ and songwriter known as one of the leading forces behind successful projects Astroline and Lasgo. His musical career started at the age of 12 when he got a small organ. Shortly after that, he bought his first synthesizer and started composing his own tracks. He got involved in several bands, but soon he realized his skills and talent would lead him to composing and producing music on his own. Influenced by such artists as Depeche Mode and Jean Michel Jarre, as well as the thriving Belgian club scene, Peter started making dance music. His first release was titled Plato, an ambient album.
