Vic Krishna represents this project as singer on stage, completed by many other guest artists featured on their first album It Doesn´t Matter : Craig Smart, Choice, P. Suave, Terry, Shade, Carlos E. Harmon and Anthony Freeman (from the RnB-duo Jonestown) and even Toni Cottura (aka Tone) himself. Their music was described as a mix of elements of reggae, RnB, freestyle, and English 2-step. Melanie Janene Thornton was born in May 13th 1967 in Charleston, South Carolina. She studied voice from the age of six, played the piano and the clarinet and learned how to act and to dance. She had long dreamed of a career in music. Her parents had a friend of a friend who was a singer in Charleston. Even though she didn't get to go out and see her, she saw pictures and heard them talk about her work and heard her talk about going out on the road.When she was growing up her mother would listen to Aretha Franklin, Roberta Flack and The Temptations, a lot of the Motown music artists. She would mimic the female vocalists she saw on TV or heard on radio. Later, Melanie financed her College studies with appearances in talent shows and smaller band concerts. She frequented a club called The Peacock Lounge, getting up and doing jam sessions when the live band invited people up to sing.

Ti Pi Cal is a Sicilian formation (South of Italy). It took its name from the DJs and producers' names first syllabes : Daniele TIgnino, Riccardo PIparo, Vincenzo CALlea. After rather anonymous debuts in 1993 with the mix I Know, and a good test under the name of Power Fun, they entered easily the road of success. To help them in the first two years, had contributed in particular way the voice of the American male singer Josh Colow. He interpreted Illusion (which remained 13 weeks in Hitparade), Round And Around (which stayed 17 weeks !), The Colour Inside (12 weeks in a row at the top of the Italian Singles Sales Chart), and It Hurts (10 weeks). After the the single Why Me (which stayed "only" 7 weeks), published in June 1996, the collaboration between Josh and Ti Pi Cal ended.
