 Thea Austin was born in Pittsbugh, PA. She has been fronting bands, among them Snap, and
honing her vocal skills since she was in her early teens.
Her want for vocal success brought her to Los Angeles, looking for a recording
contract. She started out performing in bars and clubs then soon began gaining

collaboration, her first single Wake Me Up came to life, released under
Tabloid Records. This very successful track climbed the charts of the most important
countries in Europe and abroad.The backing vocals were done by Elsa Cornish
& Jennifer Karr. In 1999 the second single This Is My World was released,
and had also a lot of success, especially in Italy. A remixes single was released
