Zippo biography
Zippo comes from the name of its foundator : Rocco Daniele Zippo. Rocco comes from Italy, but was raised in Chur (Switzerland). In 1994, the first single Move Your Body was released under Sony Epic. Recorded at Master Studios in St.Gallen, engineered by M.Zanni , it featured female vocals by Sharon. The follow-up Time was recorded and mixed by M.Zanni and Dani Rühle, still in at Master Studios in St.Gallen. Music arrangement and sounddesign were done by Manfred Zazzi. It was out in April 1995 under Hyper Records, and remained 5 weeks in the national charts, climbing up to #17. The new vocalist was Nadia D'Agati. In 1995, Zippo were support-act during La Bouche's Clubtour in Switzerland. The last single was entitled Evolution. It was produced by Rocco and Steven Phillips, recorded at Brian Wave Studio Luzern.
