Swing biography
Swing (real name : Richard Silva II) came to Stockholm from New York in 1991 after releasing his first single Hard copy/Safe Sex. He became the rapper for project Amadin. Then he met Dr Alban and they decided to make a record together, a eurodance remake of the Eurythmics hit Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This). The vocalist Birgitta Edoff was also invited to be a part of the project. The single was produced by V. Salazar and F. Lokar, engineered by P. Haggstrom. Executive producer was Dr. Alban himself. Extended version was done by V. Salazar, the Aura mix was done by Johan S., Tabledance version was remixed by P. Haggstrom. The single was recorded at Dr. Records. A video was shot for Sweet Dreams, Alban and Birgitta appeared in the clip. In 1995 also was released Sweet Dreams Remixes. It includes 2 tracks : The Real Version & Junglebook Mix. 1997 : Swing changed his name into Swingfly and recorded a single featuring Lutricia McNeal entitled Street Life. Today Swing is a highly respected artist in the Swedish music industry. He has appeard as a guest rapper in many project such as Blacknuss Al-Sars and Teddybears STHLM aka Teddybears Stockholm (on the track Hey Boy). His music has also been featured in a lot of films, TV-series and adverts. 2001 : Swing did a rap duet with Ayo entitled Come Get It. 2002 : he did a collective single called Come Get It / It's Alright with 8-Off Agallah, AYO and Dappa Don. 2006 : he released the hip-hop single Something's Got Me Started and did guest raps on Freddie Cruger's album Soul Search. 2008 : Swing scored a big hit in Sweden with the song Singing That Melody. Latest Swing news18/10/2008 : Swing now makes music under the name Swingfly and is currently having a big hit in Sweden with the song Singing That Melody.
