Eric Singleton biography

Rapper and songwriter Eric Newkirt Singleton was born on November 6th 1968 in New York.

Eric "XL" Singleton was rapper and often songwriter for the projects Face II Face, Cool Passion (Partyzone), Rotation (Pump It Up). He appeared under many nicknames : Extra Large, MC X, etc.

Eric started his solo rapper carreer back in 1994, when released the album Righteous Vibe that year. From that album were taken the singles Tequila in 1994, Downtown Girl and Hang On Snoopy in 1995. In 1997 and 1998, Eric did a lot of guest appearences on rap projects, such as Suffer and Die with Deep Down, Sometime Somewhere and The Riddle with BOON, Because I Love You with World In Motion and some songs with G-Traxx, Sinclair & Wilde and Francis Ford.

Between 1998-2001 he was rapper for Modern Talking. He appeared on You're My Heart You're My Soul'98, Brother Louie'98, Cheri Cheri Lady'98, the Spacemix'98, You Are Not Alone, Sexy Sexy Lover, China In Her Eyes, Don't Take Away My Heart, Fly To The Moon, and Last Exit To Brooklyn.

He also took part to Modern Talking's main competitor Bad Boys Blue's single You're A Woman '98.

Then he went solo again and released the singles Take 5 in 1998 and Whola Lotta Love in 2000.

After his last single with Modern Talking, he moved back to Georgia, U.S.
