Shanna biographyReal name : Shanna Wilkerson. Born in the US, in a small town in central Florida, she started singing gospel and negro spirituals at the church every sunday, from the age of 10. When her parents listened to music she heard a lot of Rhythm and blues, Motown, and 70’s Soul. As a teenager,she moved to New York, where she took part to many "off Broadway" musicals. Shanna not only sings, but she also writes and composes her own songs. Do Me Boy was produced by Raphy Corbyn for Nes Arts and Dalma Production Edition. It was written and composed by Shanna Wilkerson, P. Hall & B. de Carey (actually Bertrand Carrouée, French DJ also responsible for Cherry Moon and Pussy). It was released under BMG in France and licensed under D:vision Records in Italy. It sold nearly 75,000 copies. Dream With Me was produced, composed, arranged by Raphy Corbyn for Nes Arts and Dalma Production Edition, remixed by Claudio Mingardi, G. Vivaldi and R. Salani. The Original Hard Club Mix was arranged and mixed by Oliver Fox and Raphy Corbyn. Lyrics were written by Shanna. Your Love was produced and composed by Raphi Corbyn or Nes Arts and Dalma Production Edition, written by Shanna Wilkerson. A videoclip was shot for this song. Gotta Have It was a cover of a song originally sung by Lenny Kravitz. Shanna also did vocals for the project Q-Tex. Later, she did backing vocals for Murray Head and chorist for many well-known artists such as Ceronne. She performed as support act in James Brown and Matt Bianco shows in Estoril (Lisbon, Portugal). 2007 : Shanna is curently singing jazz and blues as Shanna Waterstown. She took part to many festivals in France, such as Enghien les bains, Noyon and Belle Isle en Terre. She's also been touring in most blues cabarets and jazz clubs in Paris.
