Sandman biographySandman features a solo male vocalist called Simon Singh (aka Simon Enderli), born in Indonesia. His father is an Indonesian actor residing in Malaysia. His mother is Swiss. Simon spent the first 5 years of his life in Asia. Then he went to Switzerland and attended his first music school at the age of 7. He became the frontman of project Sandman, produced by Mark Wyss and Andreas Nager. The very first single released by Sandman was Right Here Right Now. It was a dance song with a little touch of garage sound, reminding of Haddaway. The second single released by Sandman was entiteld Secret, in 1996 under the label Second Label. It was written and composed by Marcel Achermann, produced by Andreas Nager. Their next single Dancing on the Beach was released in 1997. This euro-reggae track was perfect for a summer-hit. Released under the label Muve, it stayed 17 weeks in the Swiss charts and went up to #33. 1998 : Holiday was once again euro-reggae, written and composed by Mark Wyss, Andreas Nager and Simon Enderli himself, produced by Mark Wyss and Andreas Nager. It entered the Swiss charts at #45. An album entiteld Colours was released, it contained all the hits Then came Show Me, written by A. Nager, Sanz, Simon Enderli and M. Wyss, produced by Andreas Nager, co-Produced by LaMarque. Africa, a good dance song, was an English cover of the Rose Laurens hit. 1999 : Sandman did a Colours-tour. Whenever You Need Me was composed by Andreas Nager, produced by Andreas Nager and Mark Wyss. It was a rather low-tempo song, with a RnB rhythm. It was released under the label Muve. 2006 : Simon back with young German producer and musician Chris Endres at his side. In Endres' studio in Karlsruhe, Simon Singh has recorded new songs, which will be released as an album. Remixes were done by Franky Fonell, Chris Reece and Alex Gaudino. The 2006 single, Señorita was his come-back success. The song was presented as opening track to a 1-hour performance with his band at the HB-Fesital in Zürich. 2009 : he released the single Stop. It went straight to #4 in the U.S. charts. The eponymous album Stop won a Swiss Music Award the same year. Simon's musical style is still dance, but with latin, asian and rock influences. The album also include ballads such as Missing You. 2010 : Simon's new single is Back Again, under the name Simon Enderli. He nowadays lives in Glattbrugg, Zurich (Switzerland).
