Rama singles
Rama biographyRama is a Finnish project created by the producer Markku Raski. If featured a female vocalist and songwriter called Merja Raski (Markku's sister, who won in 1993 a Finnish tango contest). They only released two singles in 1996 (maybe Crying Out was only released as compilation track). Light My Fire featured the rapper Raymond Ebanks (who also took part to the Bomfuck MC's). The single stayed several weeks number one in Finnish Disco/Dance chart in 1996. The co-proucers were Kaippa Kaivola and James Black (also known from the project like 3rd Nation). Rama still and forever exists but they haven't been producing anything for ages, but who knows what future holds... Markku Raski teamed later up with Juha Sahlstein to produce a eurotrance project called Endorfin. Not to be confused with the English project Rama which sung C'est La Vie in 1995. 2012 : Markku Raski has released on Rama's Youtube-channel very special demo made with the same studio set-up as the original Light My Fire during the era 1995–1996. The demo consists of Finnish and international traditional christmas hymnes and carrols produced in Eurodance-style as a medley with lots of warmth and joy of christmas time in mind. Nowaydas Markku, as a car and vehicle enthusiast, has his own company "Automodels" to sell and distribute model cars and other scale-model vehicles worldwide. This video with "Dance Christmas"-medley was made to promote the christmas sales. Latest Rama news25/01/2013 : Last December, Rama producer and composer Markku Raski released on Rama's Youtube-channel a very special dance Xmas medley demo made with the same studio set-up as the original Light My Fire. It was made to promote the christmas sales on his model cars company Automodels (thanks to Juha Sahlstein).
