Behin QFX hides the producer Kirk Turnbull. In June 1995 they released their single Freedom, the title track from their first album, which charted in the UK Top 75 at #41.

January 1996, QFX remixed the Moby track Every Time You Touch Me which shot QFX straight into the UK Top 40 at #22, giving the band their first UK Top 40 hit.

The follow-up You Got The Power was released in July 1996, entering at # 33. QFX have add many additional songs entering the UK charts and also remixed additional songs for other artists including Gala with Freed From Desire - peaking at # 2 and spending 14 weeks in the UK Top 40. 600 000 sales later and thanks to Big Life Records, Kirk has now been presented with his copy of the Gold Disc.

In January 1998 Zomba Records re-released Children Of The Night under the name of Nakatomi project. This track is one of Kirks favourites, so he was delighted when Zomba asked him to re-mix it. Due to high demand it has been re-released for the 3rd time, out April 1999 featuring 4 mixes.

Voyage, a concept album, went on limited UK release on the 2nd of February 1998. The QFX album Voyage featured 10 continuous, extended instrumental tracks.
