Roxanne does not sound like most urban artists out there. Emerging from the Crescent City, New Orleans (the mecca for funk and home to pioneering giants such as the Neville Brothers, Leo Nocentelli, and George Porter), this esoteric artist/songwriter combines a mélange of funk, rock, blues, and gospel elements she seductively serves up in her own brand of zesty gumbo she dubs "funk and soul." Her lyrical content, emotionally and intellectually rich, cover the gamut of issues including society, self love and relationships, as her versatile voice and unique style allow listeners of all genres of music to indulge in a delightful melting pot of sound.

Whatayado is a funker, replete with tasteful guitar riffs and a sing-along, anthemic chorus that exudes a command of rawness reminiscent of Rufus or Mother's Finest. Fly'smellifluous hook and interesting melody, set to the backdrop of a thriving beat, will especially satisfy the palate of those who like their R&B alternative tinged with a different flavor while Rise, as the title indicates, is a sublime, positive -thinking mid-tempo ballad that mesmerizes, employing grounding bass-lines set against ethereal chords and a message of transcending obstacles. Sung with conviction and certainty, Rise leaves you with an "I-know-I-can-do-it" ideality.

As a performer, Roxanne is no stranger to the stage. She has appeared on numerous stages lending her voice to various artists including Hammer, Busta Rhymes, Zhane, Donnell Jones, N'dea Davenport, Coati Mundi, Cyrille Neville, Allen Toussaint, Daryl Johnson, Leo Nocentelli, Urge Overkill, Ghostface Killah, Corey Day, and others. As a budding songwriter, Roxanne has collaborated with the likes of Peter Bunetta (Patti Labelle, Donna Summer, Michael Bolton), R.J. Rice (Poe, Taja Sevelle), Bad Boy Hitman, Younglod (Faith Evans, Big Pun, Carl Thomas), Robert Clivilles (Mariah Carey, C&C Music Factory), and Bruce Smith (Bjork, Terence D'arby, Neneh Cherry). An imminent force in this market, Roxanne is being heavily pursued by major labels and promises to impact the industry and the masses with a broad and refreshing spectrum of sound.

She took part to the writing and to the vocals of the single In The Name Of Love with the project Infinity .
