Daniel Peyer biographyDaniel Peyer comes from Switzerland. He worked as producer and composer with the greatest names of eurodance history. He started his carreer collaborating with DJ Bobo : he stands behind the hits Somebody Dance With Me, Keep On Dancing, Take Control and Everybody for instance. Afterwards, he made various things. He owned a music club in Zurich, where Melanie Thornton had a live show as La Bouche, together with her rapper. Then in Amsterdam he met Ray Slijngard of 2 Unlimited, they went together to the Disco IT, and together they recorded in his own studio a single which flopped. He spent 3 days with Ray, and found out he was a very nice and amusing guy. In 1995 he went in Germany (Loerrach/Basel) and started collaborating with David Braendle (more well-know as David Brandes, E-Rotic producer with Felix Gauder). Daniel worked on the arrangements and co-produced the second album The Power Of Sex, including the tracks Willy Use A Billy Boy and Fritz Love My Tits. But David Brandes proved not to be very honest, since instead of the 2% PPD he had promised to Daniel, he only left a tip of 0,25% PPD. So in 1998 Daniel stopped his co-operation with David Brandes. At the Bros Music studios Daniel met Lyane Hegemann, who has always been the real voice of E-rotic, even after she was replaced by Jeanette Meier (form Switzerland). Apart from the 1st Single, David Brandes was the real rapper. So, as it is common in the dance music world, the perfomers on stage were only lip-syncing. More recently, Lyane was replaced as Lydia Madawjewski as studio vocalist. Under the composer alias John Bakerman, he produced and composed Franky Fonell's hit Never Forever. Nowadays, since 2000, Daniel came back to Switzerland. He was busy working on a new music project, with his old friend Domenico Livrano. Domenico had co-produced with Daniel Let's Groove On, one of the first DJ Bobo singles back in 1991. The single was a flop so Domenico lost all desire to work with Bobo. So Daniel finished alone producing the first hit and the following debut album of DJ Bobo. Domenico worked with the most famous eurodance projects : he did arrangements and productions for Culture Beat, E-Rotic first album Sex Affairs, Magic Affair, Garcia, Captain Jack, SEX Appeal and Loft. 2003 : after scoring his last hit as composer for Groove Coverage's The End, Daniel decided to stop his musical carreer. Among the reasons, the strong diminution in CD sales (a producer nowadays ears 90% less than in 1995), the fact that he did not want of this stressful life of independent producer, always chasing money and fighting with international lawyers, and finally the fact that, since he had fulfilled his dream, it was time to leave the place to younger musicians. He went back to school and nowadays works in an office. "Today I am actually very happy and do not regret my decision. I have fulfilled my boyhood dream."
