Giancarlo Pasquini biographyRead his interview by Zeljko Vujkovic Italian songwriter, composer and producer Giancarlo Pasquini was born February 21, 1963 in Mantua. He started his producer and singer carreer with Italo-Disco band Aleph (along with Marco Manzi and Donato Bellini). Aleph had their first European success back in 1985 with Fly To Me which charted in the Top Ten in many territories. It also contributed to Time Records' success. Follow-up Fire On The Moon was a huge hit too. Around that time he began a long-term collaboration with Japanese label Avex. He co-founded eurobeat label A-Beat-C with Alberto Contini. Considered by many to be the "Godfather of Eurobeat", he has written and produced songs for J-pop artists such as Namie Amuro, V6 (with former Michael Jackson's guitarist Jennifer Batten) and MAX, as well as countless works for the Super Eurobeat series, the world's longest-running series of dance music compilation albums, since its earliest issues. He stood behind most tracks released by AbeatC. Among them, Norma Sheffield, Annerly Gordon and Virginelle, but also songs for his wife, eurobeat singer Alessandra Gatti aka Domino. He also contributed to projects Karen, Lady Lust... He has been honored by the Japanese music industry for selling more than 30 millions albums. 2006 : he released a new CD under the name Dave Rodgers, called Blow Your Mind.
