Maduar biography

Maduar was created in 1986 by Juraj Matyinkó (bass, vocals, music and lyrics), Ladislav Matyinkó (keyboards, vocals) and Ladislav Dulovic. They hesitated between the names Hurikán, Atlantic, and Adept, then one year after they chose Maduar when Erik Aresta joined the project. Barbara Hašcáková (from MC Erik and Barbara) also took part to the project in 1994 and 1995. Anna-Katarina Schatzl did vocals on the album Space. At first they were only performing live. Then in 1993 they did their first sutdio recording with the songs Dancefloor and Requiem Pre Zuzanu (Requiem for Susanne).

All really started in 1994. Their first single was I Feel Good. The follow-up Do It went platinum. They were elected band of the year 1994 in Slovakia. Then they released their first album I Feel Good which was also very successful. The following year they got 1st place in the survey of the most popular Slovak bands. In 1995 they released Mystic Party which was once again platinum record, then came Space which was gold. They performed together with such stars as Chris Rea, East 17, DJ Bobo, Fun Factory, E-Rotic, Technotronic, Rednex, Mr President, Whigfield, Snap, Worlds Apart, Culture Beat.

Ladislav Dulovic left the group in June 1999.
