Lee Marrow biography

Lee Marrow was a project created by Italian DJ and producer Francesco "Checco" Bontempi in 1985. His first single Shanghai, co-produced with Roby Arduini aka Soul Train, released under Severo Lombardoni's label Discomagic Records, was a big success, reaching to 10 in Germany. He also scored hits with Sayonara (Don’t Stop), Pain and Do You Want Me.

In 1992, after a short pause, Lee Marrow's sound evolved from italo-disco to hip-house music. Do You Want Me was remixed and re-released. To Go Crazy was out in 1992 and included raps. Single Try Me Out, released in 1993, featured vocals by Annerley Gordon credited as Charme (and not the blond model on the sleeve or in the videoclip). Giovanna Bersola aka Ce Ce Houston performed vocals on Baby, I Need Your Love. But these singles were not very succesful.

Project was put in a pause when in 1994 Francesco Bontempi he contributed to creating and producing the Corona project. The Lee Marrow songs Do You Want Me, I Want Your Love, Try Me Out, Baby I Need Your Love was re-recorded and released as Corona
