Regis Ducatillon biography

Régis Ducatillon was born in Lille on June 16th 1971. Along with Fabrice Nyiri and François-Xavier Legleye he stood behind the projects Trance X Ppress, X-Kameron (with Van Garsse, Nachtergaele & co), Alphabase, Montana, Latino Bazar, Beat Box, Blake Amado and D-Trax, among others.

He collaborated on other dance style projects such as Pleasure Game, Latino Bazar, Jocko ( Olé, a big hit in France in 1994, in the style of Not Real Presence Chika Chika), A Free K, Face To Face (Best Of My Love, not to be confused with Face II Face, but it was a disco revival track in the style of JK - My Radio for example - a track made with Samy Deep from Two Boys) and GO Culture.

In 1994 he was also behind the group Dee Elements (the song Gonna Let You Go, with the same team as X-Kameron), a disco / house track inspired by Indeep - Last Night A DJ Saved my Life. With Samy Deep he also produced Sisters N Brothers. The song Why Don't You Stay The Night was a disco house track and the second one Bing Bing Boom featured a female singer & a ragga rapper. This track could be compared to Mr President's Coco Jamboo. All these tracks entered french club charts. The songs made in cooperation with Samy Deep were released on their label Latitude Records.

He's also behind the dance single of CJ Wilson Dai La Li Lai La, that he produced alone and released with success in september 1994. Just one year later, he released again this track with this time a eurodance remix, it had one more time the same success.

He also composed and mixed for the Polynesian artist Fenua (which entered the French top 50), wrote songs for the real-TV girls-group L5 (Où Sont Passés les Hommes, Question De Survie), contributed to the realisation of an album for the Star Academy. He composed the music of the TV-spot for Kinder Maxi.

He also made a mix for the single of Karen Mulder I Am What I Am, remixed another classic, Ritchie Family I'll Do My Best. In 2003, he moved to Miami and had a track featured on the soundtrack of the movie Kangaroo Jack : it's The Dude - Rock Da Juice. In 2011, because of health issues, he went back to France and did a pause.

He nowadays lives in Mougins, the South of France, where he build his new recording studio. After launching his real estate agency in 2014, he more recently did a comeback in the music business under the alias Recap.

Thanks to Nico
