Donna biography
Donna Pearson started out singing in the Canadian group Capital Sound. She was just 21. She took part to their second album... And The Party Goes On which was released in 1996. Many singles were released : Boogie Oogie Oogie, Feel The Rhythm, Give A Little Love and Your Love Is My Energy. Afterwards Capital Sound broke up and Donna decided to pursue her own solo career. Her first singles are Just A Dream and Touch My Body both recorded in 1998. Just A Dream was released without Donna's permission.
In August 1998, Donna moved to Toronto and worked with numorous producers and writers.
2001 : after moving back to Ottawa in July, Donna began teaching vocal at the Conservatory of Music, the very same school that she took lessons at when she was 14. She performed again for weddings, in productions and auditioning for various Musicals. She participated in a version of the "Moulin Rouge" in 2002 at the Ottawa Ex.
2004 : Donna sang for the opening ceremonies of the Special Olympics Floor Hockey Tournament in Ottawa.
2006 : Donna teamed with Roxxy and created the band Spand-X, with 3 other Canadian artists, Joe, Gilles and Don. They play the most famous hits of the 80s.
2010 : Spand-X relocated to Montreal. Donna is still touring with a renewed team under the name D-riffic, but Roxxy is not a member of the band anymore.
