DJH biography
DJ H (DH Herbie)'s real name is Enrico Acerbi and he's one of the most prolific Italian dance producers. He started his career back in the early nineties under the name of DJH. The project was under contract with Wicked And Wild Records (same label as Playahitty). He scored many hits, started with You in 1992 followed by We Love It, Come On Boy Move Your Love, My Body and I Like It. The vocals were performed by Stefy aka Stefania Bacchelli (apart from Come On Boy which was sung by Joy Salinas, and also released in Germany under the label ZYX).
He appeared for the first time under the name of DJ Herbie during spring 1995 with Feel Good (Disco Inn) composed and mixed with Easy B (Marco Bongiovanni) and Fabio the Fab (Fabio Carniel). It was his first approaching to house sonority.
On winter 1996 DJ Herbie's team came back with the project Skuba. They produced 3 powerful cover-track : Cuba (featuring sample of Gibson Brothers'), What's Up Daddy (featuring sample of Boney M's Daddy Cool) and Fly Robin Fly. He also produced the single Los Mambo for Dos Amigos.
In 2000 they gave life to a techno project named Kaliya. The concept was to create sounds approaching oriental sonorities. They produced the single Ritual Tibetan (which included a Gigi D'Agostino remix), which reached the top of dance charts, and a second record titled Canto Vagabundo, which did not have the same success.
2000 was also the year when a 2000 remix of DJH's I Like It was released, wtill under the same label Wicked And Wild.
2001 : in June DJ Herbie released the single Chinatown.
In summer 2002 DJ Herbie team climbed all Italian charts with the hit King Of Rock. He re-tried a few months later in October 2002 with It's Triky but it was did not have the success expected. In the meantime he worked on another successful house track called See Everybody Dance for the project Smiling People. It was one of the Summer 2002 house hits.
