Corouz albums
Corouz biographyCorouz is an Iranian band, formed in 2000 by Ali Hatefi, Mohammad Reza Esmaili, Pantea Sarab, Farzad Farzin and Negar Omidi. Farzad Farzin left the project before any album was released. Later, Shervin Sohrabian joined the band as a lead singer. The female members of the group are solely backup-vocalists. They sing in Persian. In 2003 they released their first album entitled Baaghe Afsaane under the newly established label Moosighidaanaane Emrooz. It was produced by Mohammad Reza Ahmadian, and in spite of the year of release, the style of the album was classic eurodance. The same year, Corouz was nominated at the Persian Music Awards as the best band of the year. Shervin Sohrabian later released a solo single entitled Rain. The videoclip became famous for being one of the most expensive music-videos ever done inside the country. 2005 : after many revisions in terms of content, title and label, Farzad Farzin finally released the album he was working on under the title Sharareh. Sharareh was one of the tracks he had initially created for Corouz project. 2008 : after a temporary ban from any kind of activity in the entertainment industry, Farzad Farzin released his second album Shock.
