Meyra Cordova biographyMeyra was born in Guatemala, and at early age part of her family moved to Mexico. She started school at 4 and was surrounded with a lot of family talent for poetry : her grandpa was a writer, her uncles would do athletics. From the age of 6, she began taking dancing classes, gymnastics, theater and more at school, which took her to her first classical dance recital at the age of 8. From then on, took dancing and singing more seriously with voice lessons, classical singing and ballet, jazz and hip-hop and theater. At the age of 16, she obtained my first singing/dancing role in the musical "Cats". As a dancer for Televisa Mexico, she toured with different very well known singers, participating in TV shows, music videos, conventions, in Mexico and abroad. In 1995, she started working with Pablo Pinilla, a very well known Spanish producer all trough the Latin American continent. Her first album Intensamente, an excellent eurodance CD (though it did not contain any of her original songs), was released under Polygram Discos Mexico, and reached #7 in Mexico charts. This lead her to be part of a successful promotional tour. Meyra flew to Los Angeles, "to go for bigger and better, and continue writing and learning music" as she explains. She performed in several concerts throughout the US and abroad (like performances for American and International military NATO forces, in Bosnia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Austria, Holland and Belgium). 2008 : in February, Meyra did a concert in Kyoto, Japan. 2009 : Meyra teamed with KiKe from Argentina, together they created the project Ki!MEY. They released a self-titled album with the same name, a blend of Pop, Rock, Urban, and Dance... her dearly roots.
